Approach & Vision

Is brain-based coaching religious or spiritual, and could it conflict with my beliefs?
Brain-based coaching is not religious or spiritual in nature. The approach is grounded in insights from neuroscience, psychology, and behavior change. In my practice, I work with methods such as ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), and neuropsychological principles. There is always space for your personal values and beliefs. They are an essential starting point within the coaching process.
Is my cultural background taken into account?
Yes. Every person operates within a context of culture, upbringing, and systemic influences. Cultural norms, expectations, and loyalties can influence self-image, perfectionism, boundaries, and relational patterns. During the process we carefully and respectfully explore this context, because sustainable change always takes place within your lived environment.
What if things come up during a session that I would rather not face?
Change sometimes means cbecoming aware of patterns that may feel uncomfortable. We always work within your capacity, with safety and emotional regulation at the core. You set the pace. Coaching at Sui Cura is in-depth, but never forced.
Do you work with exercises between sessions?
Yes. Insight alone is often not enough for lasting change. Between sessions you'll work with reflective questions, practical tools, and small behavioral steps. This is where real change happens.
How intensive is the program?
The process requires commitment and a willingness to engage in self-reflection. We work in depth and in a development-oriented way, that fits your capacity. It is not a quick fix, but a gradual process in which you build new patterns.

When is coaching right for me?

I function well on the outside, but internally I feel stuck. Is coaching the right fit or me?
This is a very common question. Many clients function well on the outside, yet experience inner tension, perfectionism, self-doubt, or recurring patterns. We will work on gaining insight into these underlying mechanisms and support you in making more conscious and aligned choices.
Can you help with perfectionism?
Yes. Perfectionism is often linked to a fear of falling short, a need for control, and deeply rooted beliefs. During the process we work with psychoeducation about the stress and threat system, explore underlying beliefs, and gradually build new patterns. Not by working harder, but through regulation and more conscious choices.
Can coaching help with stress and inner restlessness?
Yes. Stress and inner restlessness often arise when your nervous system has been under pressure for a long time. Together, we work on understanding your stress system, automatic patterns, emotional regulation, and capacity for recovery. By better understanding how your brain and body respond to tension, you can gradually develop more calm, clarity, and resilience.

Can you help with my self-image?
Yes, a negative self-image often develops early in life and is unconsciously reinforced in relationships and work. During the process, we work on increasing awareness of core patterns, emotional processing, and behavioral change. This allows you to gradually develop a more realistic and stable sense of self.
I want to learn how to set boundaries and make better choices. Is this something coaching can help me with?
Certainly. Difficulty setting boundaries is often linked to loyalty, fear of rejection, and underlying patterns. We explore what may be holding you back and gradually build new patterns that aligns more closely with your values.
How can coaching help after a toxic or narcissistic relationship?
After a toxic or narcissistic relationship, you may experience lowered self-confidence, doubt your own perception, or feel emotionally drained. Together, we work on recognizing underlying patterns, rebuilding your sense of self, regulating emotions, and strengthening your autonomy. So you can rebuild and trust yourself again and make choices that align with your values.
How can coaching help with procrastination?
Procrastination is often connected to stress, perfectionisme., and avoidance patterns. During coaching, we explore what your brain may be trying to protect you from and gradually build new patterns that support change.

Learn what may be driving your procrastination and how to gradually deal with it differently.
Does coaching help with burnout?
Burnout is often linked to long-term overactivation of the stress system. In the early phase of recovery, rest and sometimes medical support are important. My coaching is development-oriented and requires a certain level of capacity. When there is acute exhaustion, it is more appropriate to focus on recovery with a specialized professional. Coaching can be helpful at a later stage to work on underlying patterns.
Do I need to feel completely stuck before starting coaching?
No. If you notice that you feel stuck in recurring patterns, inner tension, or self-doubt, that is already a valid reason to reach out. You do not need to figure everything out on your own. During the intake, we explore your situation and clarify what feels important to work on.

Coaching vs. therapy: what's the difference?

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders within mental healthcare. Coaching focuses on personal development, behavioral change, and strengthening self-direction. In my practice, I do not work with diagnoses or provide medical or mental healthcare treatment. Instead, I support you in understanding underlying patterns and making conscious, aligned choices.
Can coaching be an alternative to therapy when there are long waiting lists?
Coaching is not a substitute for therapy or specialized mental healthcare. It is a different approach, working from a well-being model rather than a medical model. During the intake, we will explore whether coaching is appropriate for your current situation.
Can coaching be combined with therapy?
This is possible, as long as the roles remain clear and the processes do not interfere with each other. During the intake, we explore whether this fits within my role as a coach.
When is specialized support more appropriate than coaching?
Coaching is not the right fit in cases of acute crisis, severe psychiatric conditions, addiction, or complex trauma. In these situations, specialized mental healthcare is needed.
